Suzanne Stanborough

I’m Suzanne Stanborough, known to most families as Midwife Suzi – an Endorsed Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse, and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with over 20 years of experience in nursing, healthcare, and midwifery.

My approach combines clinical expertise with genuine compassion. I believe every woman deserves to feel informed, empowered, and supported throughout her journey – from conception to discharge at six weeks and six days postpartum.

Through personalised antenatal and postnatal care, I walk beside families every step of the way, creating space for confidence, calm, and connection.

As an IBCLC, I specialise in supporting families through all aspects of infant feeding – from establishing breastfeeding and overcoming challenges to guiding parents who choose to bottle-feed or combine both. I also hold a Certificate in Tongue Tie Assessment and Management, enabling me to provide comprehensive feeding evaluations and coordinate effective care for babies with oral restrictions.

Alongside this, I’m a Certified Hypnobirthing Practitioner (Hypnobirthing Australia), Qualified Infant Massage Instructor (IMIS – International Association of Infant Massage), Parenting & 4th Trimester Educator (Cert IV in Training and Education), and Qualified Acuneedling Practitioner.

I blend holistic and evidence-based care to support both the physical and emotional wellbeing of mothers and babies. From birth education and lactation support to acuneedling, infant massage, and contraceptive counselling including Implanon services, my goal is to provide gentle, family-centred care that helps women trust their intuition and embrace motherhood with confidence.
